Bismarck-Mandan is a safe and affordable community that borders the Missouri River and is surrounded by stunning natural landscapes. We have great schools, a robust healthcare ecosystem, plenty of arts & culture, entertainment and recreation options, along with a strong sense of community.
Here are some reasons our quality of life is unmatched. North Dakota was named the fourth-best state for young adults. Bismarck was named the second happiest community in the United States. (We don’t have official data, but people in our twin city, Mandan, appear just as happy.) With the third most affordable housing in the United States, there’s more money left over for people to have fun.
